I Did It

After years of debating whether or not to open my Etsy shop back up, I finally did it! {YAY!}

Unfortunately, after all of the rules and regulations set forth by the CPSIA ~ the fees and testing, it just wasn't worth it to continue making and selling items for babies and children. It has taken me awhile {a LONG while ~2 years to be exact!} to open back up, but I finally have. And I'm so happy to have my little shop back.

If you have a minute, I'd love it if you'd stop by to take a look. It's kinda bare, but I hope to fill it up soon!

Look Who Came To Live With Us . . .

These CUTE little critters!

Chicks!

I mean, are they the cutest little things ever??

Chicks2!

Our "grown-up" chickens recently stopped laying eggs, so we figured it was time to get some new little guys {ahem, girls}. As you can probably imagine, Sierra, Makenna, and Kameryn are beyond excited!

Welcome sPrInG!

Fresh Air

It was a beautiful day today. And by beautiful, I mean it didn't rain! YAY! If our weatherman is correct, we will wind up with 27 days of recordable rain fall this month . . . blech! I don't think I'm cut out for the Pacific Northwest ;) It was a whopping 56 degrees and overcast, but I'll take that over the constant drizzle any day.

So . . . we headed outdoors to enjoy it.

Kam

Little Miss Kam enjoyed picking flowers and swinging.

Sis

There was climbing . . .

Sis2

and sliding.

Lunch

And then we got hungry for lunch. So we moved our patio table and chairs to our back porch, and enjoyed lunch out there for the first time. I can't wait for warm summer evenings and family dinners together out there. Sigh.

Lunch2

The girls had a ball.
Kam was introduced to clinking glasses and shouting, "cheers!"

Kam2

And she couldn't get enough of it.

It was a good day.

Oh, and Happy Anniversary to me and hubs {he had to work today, frown }
Nine years.
My how time flies!

Fruit Spectacular!

The girls were hungry for an afternoon snack, so we whipped up a "Fruit Cup Spectacular". Really it's just grapes, strawberries, and vanilla yogurt with a dollop of whipped cream and sprinkles, but they thought it was pretty, well, spectacular ;)

FruitCupSpectacular8x12

And I had to snap a photo because I really love photographing food. Maybe that's because I really just LOVE food.

And though none of this is really post-worthy, I did want to document something because I think it's absolutely hilarious.

Kameryn's new name for me?

Baby-Mama.

I used to be plain ol' Mama. Now I'm Baby Mama. I don't know if it's because she's definitely aware now that we're having another baby, or what, but it cracks me up just the same. She toddles out to the living room first thing in the morning, and if one of her sissies is already up and happens to be sitting next to me . . . watch out! She fusses in her loudest possible voice, "Nooooo! My Baby-Mama!"

Oh that girl. Not sure where she came from, but I love her.

Shutter Love Tuesday ~ Emotions

ShutterLoveTuesdays

I've been wanting to participate in The Trendy Treehouse's Shutter ♥ Love ♥ Tuesday for a looooong time. And I'm just now getting around to it.

This week's theme is ~ Emotions ~.

Um, in a house FULL of girls, there is an abundance of emotion around here ;)

Emotions

~Sadness~

I'm choosing this photo of Sierra. She had been playing outside and had a little accident that involved her teeth and a pole. Poor little thing, she tried so hard to be tough.

Have a minute? Go check out the other entrants over at Trendy Treehouse! And vote for my photo if ya like ;)

More House Pics

So . . . you asked for it! More house pics :)

We tend to be a bit private at times, so I will try to share enough without over-sharing. Know what I mean? ;) And before we start, you have to promise not to look too closely. We just started moving in on Wednesday. We're definitely still in the "settling in" stage.

Ready?

Please, come on in . . .

New House 1

On the right you'll find the powder room. No mirrors yet, but soon. Soon.

New House 3

And on the left, Jeremy's office. A perfect spot for his hunting trophies. A little further down is my pantry.

New House 2

The stairway. We'll head on upstairs in a minute.

New House 4

And our kitchen/dining room. This is where we spend a great deal of time, you know. Cooking, food prep, clean up, homeschooling. Whew! A little further and you'd see our dining room table and sliding glass doors that lead to a back deck. We can't wait to enjoy breakfast out there once the weather starts cooperating.

New House 5

And the Living area. This room is getting some brand new furniture in a few weeks. My super sweet and loving in-laws surprised us with a trip to pick out a new sofa and chair. Until the furniture arrives we're kind of leaving this room alone.

New House 6

Across from the kitchen is the hallway that leads to our bedroom and the room the girls are staying in for now. Until they feel more comfortable heading upstairs ;) There is also the utility room down that way which leads to the garage.

New House 7

Now, on to the upstairs . . .

The first door on the right is the girls' bathroom.

New House 9

And straight ahead, two bedrooms.

New House 8

One houses vanities, my sewing machine, crafts, toy boxes and bins . . .

New House 10

And the other, the girls' beds and dressers.

New House 11

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks so much for all your sweet comments and emails. We so appreciate the thoughts and prayers during this time of transition. I think we're all settling in nicely. And hopefully all of the paperwork, manufactured home selling and moving, and clean up go smoothly and are behind us by the time baby girl #4 arrives!
Movin' On In!
I can hardly believe it, but we've actually moved in! The house is done, the final inspection complete, and we've moved all of our belongings ~ all 400 million of them. We still have loan paperwork to tackle {which is a lot bigger task than it sounds}, all that goes along with selling our old manufactured home that sits right smack dab in front of our new house, and dealing with county issues regarding the moving of the manufactured home. Whew! It's going to be a busy couple of months. But at least the house is finished, and the move in complete. One step at a time, right?
Move In
Move In 2
These were taken before total chaos ensued. I didn't realize how much stuff we had!
Move In 3
Yesterday morning we actually enjoyed breakfast in our new home.
Move In 4
And a couple photos of Kam from this morning before my doctor appointment. I just have to share them because she looked so dang cute just eating her toast :)
Move In 5
Move In 6
So . . . what have I missed?
Time with Friends
Yesterday we got to visit with friends. Is there anything better than a little time spent with friends?
It had been way.too.long. But these are the kind of friends you can catch up with in a matter of minutes. Close friends who know you well. The best kind of friends.
Friends2
And if that weren't enough . . . they introduced us to the cutest, cuddliest animal friends!
Friends3
The girls had a ball feeding these little lambs.
Friends4
And snuggling with kitties.
Friends5
And petting sweet little bun-buns!
So refreshing.
And speaking of refreshing, who is ready for Spring?
{Me, Me!!!}
I cannot wait for blue skies, rays of sunshine, sweet-smelling fresh-cut grass, and these beauties popping up everywhere.
Spring Flowers
Spring is a time of renewal, don't you think?
When Things Don't Go As Planned
It's been a looooong week. And it's only Wednesday. That doesn't seem too promising, does it?
I've been wrestling with a lot of emotion lately. We got word on our appraisal yesterday, and things aren't going exactly as planned. {Darn economy!}
What do you do when things don't go your way? The way you had planned. I am a total planner, and I have a hard time when things don't turn out the way I had envisioned. A very hard time.
It's pretty easy to say that you're leaving it in God's hands. Or that you're trusting His will, and following His path. But to actually follow through? I'm finding that a bit harder.
During Bible study one Sunday we were talking about conditional faith. Oh how this hit home for me {and can I just mention, again, that if you have not gone through Beth Moore's Esther study, go out and buy it NOW!}. We were reminded that it's not enough to have conditional faith in God. To trust that He won't let our biggest fears happen to us. We have to trust Him, period. Regardless. Even in fear.
And that's where I am right now. Being stretched a little in faith.
And trying to come up with a plan.
What can I say? I'm a planner.
