Happy 13th Birthday, Sierra Elizabeth

Well, first off, typing out "13 years old" about kills me. It truly does.
How can it be possible that I am mama to a teenager? Wanna know a secret? Sometimes *I* still feel like a teenager.

Sigh.

Oh Sissy, it seems like just yesterday that you were six years old.

My tiny dancer.

My little girl.

But you've grown and changed so much in the last couple of years.

And I could not be prouder of the young woman you've become.

You know what you want, and aren't one little bit afraid of chasing down your dreams.

You are YOU.
And you don't apologize for it, or let anyone else influence it. As someone who cares an awful lot of what others think, I greatly respect
that about you.

While I miss those days that you were tiny, I adore the fact that as you get older we have so much that we get to do together.

Our endless chats are my favorite.

I could listen all day long to your thoughts, dreams, and goals.

You have a beautiful outlook on life, and I am so blessed to spend every minute with you.

Happy 13th Birthday, Sierra Elizabeth.
I hope this year is the very best, sweet girl! Love you to the moon!!

Family Camp 2015 ~ Part 2

Alright, y'all.  I am bound and determined to get caught up on our camping photos!

Here goes: Part 2 of our first camping trip in July
{yeppers, that's right, we took 2 camping trips last month, and I am *still* going through photos from our last trip}

Once our family arrived, it was arts and crafts . . .

Camp59W

and all sorts of fun visiting with people we sometimes only see once a year.

Camp75W

There is a fish pond set up for the littles.

Camp82W

And sometimes a not-so-little :)

Camp86W

And a "cake walk" with super fun prizes.

Camp90W

And yeah, we were in jeans and sweatshirts the whole time!
I don't know what happened to our 90 degree weather, but it must have taken a break that week.
Sixties, cloudy, and sprinkles was the forecast.

Camp91W

These two cuties are besties!
Sonoma is only 5 months older than Kam, and they've been inseparable since birth.

Camp103W

And Saturday night is camp auction.
It's how we pay for the following year's reunion.

Camp109W

We were missing so many from camp this year, but our small group had a great time anyway!

Countdown is already on for next year!
