My favorite holiday tradition is a simple one, eating a special Christmas breakfast after all of the gifts have been opened Christmas morning.

Oh great giveaway!!

My favorite holiday tradition... hmmm. Well since we've moved away from home, we haven't really come up with many of our own holiday traditions yet. My family is just starting out. This is the first year that my daughter will really be able to participate in Christmas (shes 2 now). When I was little, I always decorated the Christmas tree with my mom. My dad would cut it down, and set it up, and then my mom and I would spend the day putting the finishing touches on it. Ours is a fake, but, I'm still going to have my husband set it up, and then me and my daughter will decorate it while he goes and does man stuff, haha. And then this time next year my son (who is due next month) will be able to help us too!

My favorite holiday is Christmas b/c that is when the entire family gets together and sits by the fire and opens their presents. I remember when we were children, my siblings and I, we would bake cookies for santa. We would leave water out for the reindeers, little did we know.

It is an exciting time of the year, not only b/c you are with your family but b/c of all the homes are decorated w/ festive lights and decorations. I always loved going to different neighborhoods looking at all the colorful lights, and christmas decorations. That is what I have brought to my marriage. We do that as a annual tradition.

I love making hot chocolate, decorating the tree and putting up the stockings.

It is a time to snuggle up by the fire for hopes that St. Nick will be here.

Cute cute clippies! We get a new ornament every Christmas. It's so much fun picking out something that represents the year we've shared!

My favorite Holiday tradition is long gone and it makes me sad. :( We would go to my Grams on Christmas Eve...Gramps would sit in his chair and get drunk...we (the kids) would stand in front of the fireplace and sing Christmas songs...we would eat and open gifts from the name exchange. When we would leave Grams, I remember going out to the car and looking up in the sky for Santa and listenng to the jingle bells from his sleigh. The next morning we would awake to tons of gifts that Santa had brought why we were sound asleep. Everyone would come over for a big Christmas dinner. It was such an awesome exciting time to look forward to. Now that I am older...Gramps has passed away and my mom as well. We are all grown up, married and have kids and have moved far away. At least I still have those memories/traditions to look back on and new ones to look forward too. :)I want it to be that exciting for my lil girl as it was for me!!

My favorite tradition is our annual Christmas Eve gathering. Family and closest friends come to our house for food, gift exchanges and catching up time. It's so relaxing and joyful! I look forward to it all year :)

My favorite holiday tradition is the family sitting around the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve before bedtime. We each got to open one present (usually new pajamas).

Christmas was so quiet and peaceful at our house.
