Catchin' Up

I feel like I'm constantly playing "catch up" around here. Well, actually, not just around here, but regarding life in general. I guess it's just one of those seasons. We're busy, and happy to be. It means that we're healthy and able to be on the go. It's a good thing :)

Just wanted to take a minute to say thank you for all of the sweet words and prayers for my brother. He was released from the hospital last week, and is doing very well. Praise God! I am hoping this is truly his road to recovery. He deserves so much more than the life he's been living.

Kenners and I went in to see the oral surgeon last week, and she is officially scheduled for surgery this Friday. I was worried that she may be nervous, but I think she's actually excited. The nurse mentioned that she would only be able to eat soft foods, then proceeded to list pudding and ice cream as some popular choices ;) Kenners perked right up at that news. I think we'll be going grocery shopping for treats on Thursday. Afterward we'll hit the library to find movies to rent. It should be a relaxing weekend. Of course, any prayers are welcome. This mama is a little nervous ;)

Nothing too exciting on the new-home front. We did have gutters installed on Saturday, and exterior painting was supposed to have started today, but with all the rain we've been having, it'll have to wait. We're hoping for a few dry days this weekend. Jeremy has been working on the electrical on his days off, but it's slow going. I keep reminding myself that next year at this time it will all be a memory, and we'll be enjoying our new home.

I will keep Kenners in my thoughts. I hope she does well and recovers quickly. It sounds like she's pretty excited to go pick out some treats!

Good idea to keep the house thing in perspective. You are so right!

That's good news about your brother! Praying he is on his road to a better life. I will be praying for you and Kenners!! I know that it's more stressful for us mommas most of the time. Our house is slow going lately too. Michael is going to start pulling wire today...hopefully we're on the home-stretch to being finished with this part! It's seemed like electric has taken forever!

Hope you're having a great week so far! xoxo

I think we are all behind. I think it's cute that Miss Kenners is looking forward to the ice cream...I'll pray for both of you. Yeah for gutters!!! You'll be cozy in your new house in no time.

I think I am way behind for some reason...what happened to your brother, and why is Kenners getting surgery? Tonsils?

Prayers all around!

And good attitude about your new house, it's a pain to be waiting now, but once you're in it, you will be so happy :)

I hope everything goes well with Kenner's surgery! Are they just going to clip the bottom of her tongue? I know a few people that have had that done and I don't think it is too terrible.

Glad to hear your brother is doing well! I'll be praying for Kenners and for you during her surgery. I was so nervous when Skylar had her tonsils out but they are amazing how resilient they are. :) (the kids, not the tonsils). :D

Praying for your baby...and for you! I had unexpected surgery on Friday and my mom will tell you that the anxiety of a mom was no different with a 30 year old "child" going into surgery. God will see you both through!

Positive thoughts that the house moves along quickly but life slows down ;)
