This is my first time linking up with Carissa at lowercase letters for Miscellany Monday. Shocking, really, since all of my ramblings are pretty random.
1. I'm making the turkey for Thanksgiving this year. Can you believe this will be my first ever attempt at cooking a turkey? I'm a little nervous, but excited too. I found the yummiest recipe ever for cornbread stuffing!
2. Saturday I went on an all day shopping trip with my dearest friend for the first time in . . . ever! I think I've only been shopping without my girls once, two years ago, before Christmas. I missed them like crazy, but uninterrupted conversation with another adult is so wonderful.
3. I have been horrible about taking pictures lately. I got out of the habit a couple of weeks ago, and then we got hit with the flu, and I just haven't picked up my camera more than a time or two in the last few weeks. I miss having it permanently attached to me.
4. I'm still drawing up my Countdown to Christmas list of activities. I'm excited that some of you are interested in participating. Of course, that means I need to get movin' and start planning things out a little. I'm thinking maybe we'll try to link up on Thursdays {if you're not ready for a post by December 2nd, no biggie}. That way we can finish off the countdown on the 23rd. I don't know about y'all, but I can almost guarantee I won't be near the computer much on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, so it might be nice to wrap it up on the 23rd. I'll think more on this, and get back to ya :)

I've only cooked a turkey once and that was a few years ago for a church Thanksgiving dinner. My only tip for you is to make sure your pan is big enough for your turkey otherwise it could overflow and get all in the bottom of your oven. Not a fun mess to clean up, trust me!
I'll definitely try to remember to stop by and link up to your Countdown to Christmas posts!! I remember them from last year. So fun!!
Sorry you were sick. I'm glad you're feeling better.
Good luck with your first turkey!! I love cornbread dressing. It's so yummy!!
Hope you're having a marvelous Monday!!♥
Don't make the same mistake I did with my first turkey. I forgot to defrost it a few days early. I pulled it out the night before and the next day it was still totally frozen!! If I had read the package I would have known that it needed to be put in the fridge 3 days earlier!
Don't worry I have only done one Thanksgiving dinner and it did turn out alright. So keep up the hard work.
I can't wait to see the Christmas countdown. We are starting our decorating today!
i should link up with miscellany monday, b/c i just posted a monday rambles. :)

I've never made a turkey before. Luckily, my husband likes to cook and is capable! This year my Dad is making it.
I really need to start thinking out my advent activities!
i too have never cooked a turkey. not sure i'd want the responsibilty. i know you'll do a great job!!
can't wait for your countdown to christmas!
Don't be too intimidated with the turkey business...he won't complain or talk back to you. :)
Just remember to baste, baste, and then baste some more. :)
All day shopping? Sweet!
Ready for the Christmas Countdown! My calendar is filling up, hint hint!!!
Good luck with the turkey. I've only done one once and I hear the trick is to cook it upside down. You'll have to share how it turns out. Um, cornbread dressing is the BEST!!! I haven't taken many pictures either...I need to get on the ball. I need to figure out some neat things to do for the countdown to Christmas.
I look forward to linking up to your Countdown to Christmas...just like last year!
