 So.  I'm behind.  As always.
Still posting pics from Makenna's birthday, a week ago.

But, we had so much fun in the kitchen, prepping for her party, that I had to share.

One of the girls' favorite "accessories" is sprinkles.
I have to admit, I love them too!
They make everything so festive and sparkly :)

So we gave our little birthday glasses a makeover.

 We enjoyed a quiet, laid-back, family birthday party celebration
for Makenna's 8th birthday, last weekend.
There were a few people missing due to sickies and other engagements, but that was okay.
It made for a nice little group.

The morning started with presents from Mama and Daddy
and donuts, of course.
Daddy always brings home the birthday donuts :)

 

Then we put the final touches on the cake before the party began.

Pampered & Parties

I love having girls. Love it. I love the dressing up, the beauty shop-play, the shopping trips, sundresses and sandals, hair-fixin', and spa days. Yes, spa days. We have them frequently around here. And we don't have to go any further than our own bathroom. Whenever we have a special outing planned we have spa day. This consists of foot soaks, pedicures, manicures, hair curling. You know, the works. It's so much fun.

Yesterday was one of our treasured spa days. We had a surprise party to attend, and had to look our best ;)

After the pampering, off to the party we went!

Holy Moly there were a lot of children there. It was such fun to see them all running around enjoying each other. Most of them didn't even know one another, but that didn't stop them! They buddied up and partied down :) And my goodness, there were so many little girls. Of course, Sierra was President of the "Girl Power" movement. Oh dear.

I love days like yesterday. Full of special memories.
