Please?

A quick note before bed to ask a big favor of y'all.

My heart just aches as I type this, and it's hard to get a full breath. You know when you're hit with news so sad that you can't quite take a deep breath, and there's that lump in your throat? That's me tonight.

Do you remember last week I asked for prayers for my friend, Stephanie, who is battling ovarian cancer? Well, she's not doing so well this week. She was hospitalized Sunday, having bleeding that they cannot seem to find nor stop. 4 blood transfusions and 2 platelet transfusions later, and things are not looking well for her. My heart breaks for her and her family. Ugh, it is just so overwhelming to think about it all. What she must be feeling. It is still frightening to me that just two months ago she had no idea she was walking around with cancer. And now she is fighting for her life in a hospital bed.

Anyway, I'm rambling.

Please, please, if you feel led, would you send up a prayer for Stephanie and her family? I continue to pray for complete healing because I KNOW that God can work that miracle if it is His will.

Several other ladies I went to school with will be making a trip up to the hospital tomorrow evening to visit Stephanie. I am so torn over whether or not to go. I have not seen Stephanie in over 8 years. I don't know what she would want, as I'm not sure how exactly she is handling all of this right now. I just don't know what to do . . .

Again, prayers are greatly appreciated. Sorry for the ramble. You ladies are awesome!

Oh Liz, I will definitely be praying for Stephanie and her family. I missed the post where you talked about her before. That really is scary to think that just 2 months ago she had no idea. And now...

I will be saying lots of prayers. I think you should follow your heart as to whether or not to go. I would think that even if you drove all of the way there for her to not feel up to having visitors, at least she would know that you were there for her, and she would feel your support. I bet it would touch her.

Praying!

She's on my list. Now whether to visit or not - would you want her to visit you if the tables were turned? I think I would. You can't be loved too much.

Oh Liz, You posted this awhile ago and I hope Stephanie is on the mend. I am praying for her and her family, as always!

I pray for you as well :) It's such a difficult time for friends of hers, I know!!

I will most definitely include her in my prayers. So hard to believe that cancer can take over one's life so quickly.

As far as if you should visit her, I guess put yourself in her shoes. What would you want, if it were you? Just go with what your heart leads you to do.

Go see her. She wants nothing but your love and to know you care. You don't have to take her anything, just offer up your prayers, love, and friendship.

I am so sorry your friend is going through this. I pray for peace and comfort beyond understanding.
