Monday {Night} Ramblings

Does life ever move so fast that you don't even have time to blog about it? Yeah, same here. As usual, the days are flying by, leaving very little time to even crack open the laptop.

♥ Last weekend we attended my cousin's baby shower, and we had such a lovely time. It was great to see family, and celebrate a new baby on the way. Am I the only one who gets practically giddy at the thought of a new baby? Oh those tiny little hands. The way they just snuggle right in to your chest. And sleep wherever and whenever they choose. Sigh.

Anyway.

As I was saying.

We were at my cousin's shower . . .

Frolicking and having a good ol' time . . .

Playing peek-a-boo, and the like.

It was just lovely.

♥ Kenners played her last soccer game of the season on Saturday. In the rain. It's been doing a lot of raining around here. We were all ready for the season to end. Now we start the countdown to the end of dance ~ three more weeks!

♥ Apparently Kam doesn't need much sleep anymore. She is almost 16 months, after all. And naps are for babies, don'tchaknow. Ugh.

♥ We started another bible study, and I L.O.V.E. it already! Anointed Transformed Redeemed ~ A Study of David with Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer, and Kay Arthur. Any of you done this one? This is my 4th study of Beth's, and so far it's definitely a favorite. If you are looking for a shorter study {we chose it specifically so that we would be done before we got too far into Summer}, that is big on forming a closer relationship with God, you will not be disappointed with this.

♥ I'll post house pictures soon. Honestly, there isn't much new to report. We finished the foundation and have some "basement work" to do before the framing starts. We're sort of waiting on a little nice weather, and there is rain in the forecast for the next week. Care to say a prayer? :)

~~~~~~
So, what have y'all been up to? Anyone enjoying Summer Vacay yet?
My church did that study last summer and I wasn't able to do it. I would love to though, I'm glad you are enjoying it. I also want to do Esther. We started our summer a little early by going to Florida, so we are tan and ready to go!
Good morning!
Yes, I feel like the past several weeks have been so crazy busy that I sometimes even forget to grab the camera...gasp! LOL
We finished up soccer at the end of April (thank goodness) and the only thing I remember about the season is RAIN. It was our first time for Mary to play and I'm not sure she was such a big fan...we're going to try again in the Fall b/c there's nothin' like a little Kansas heat and humidity to make your day! :)
We also finished up dance the 2nd week of May...again...thank goodness. This year's Spring soccer schedule (practice) landed on the same night as dance practice and you better bet that Daddy was usually on duty every Tuesday night! aaaargh! Lots of Complete Home Meals or McDonalds this past spring. :)
Mary Catherine graduated from PreK last night and so we have officially begun summer vacay...yeah! HOPING our trip to Gulf Shores does get canceled...we haven't terminated our reservations yet, but I keep watching the news...those poor Gulf Coast residents! We are supposed to leave the 2nd week of June.
I haven't done any of the Beth Moore Bible studies, but sure would love to. I enjoy catching her on TV and reading her blog.
Hope you have a great day!
I love the way you dress up your girlies - so pretty!
And while I am getting baby fever, I think you have it much worse! I love toddlers more than babies :)
Life seems to be so busy right now! It is getting harder and harder for me to sit down and blog about it too! I can't wait to see how the house is coming along. I know rainy weather and house building don't go together very well. Hopefully the sun will come out for you soon:)
I am lovin' Kam's little piggie tails!
Yay for soccer ending and dancing coming to a close. Sometimes those fun activities keep us so busy that they are no longer fun.
I hope the rain ends soon so work can resume on your house. I'm jealous that you'll have a basement. We don't have those in the south. Which I don't really understand since we live in tornado alley. Hmmmm...
I totally hear you about time flying by. I have all kinds of post written in my head, they just aren't hitting the computer. It does sound like you have been busy. Who says you slow down in the summer.
I always LOVE LOVE LOVE your pictures! We're not on vacay yet - 3 weeks from tomorrow. I need to get some stuff done before then! Lol! Really - I know the coming 3 months will (2-1/2, really) will WHIZ by just as fast as the next 3 weeks will - and then we'll be wrapping xmas gifts before we know it! Oy.
Sounds like you had a great week - hope the weather lets up so you can get some work done on the house!
I think I'm the only Christian woman that has NOT done a Beth Moore study :D Not because I haven't wanted to; just haven't had the opportunity. I'm anxious to hear if you like it!
I love that pic of Kam from the back. Precious. :D
No summer vacation yet over here. sweet pictures from the shower. Love the back view one of Kam. No way on her giving up naps already. Yikes. Mine didn't like naps either.
Maybe with activities coming to a close life can slow down? Nah. It is always busy.
