Um, yikes. I have been abandoning blog land lately. Though I assure you, it's for good reason. Turns out, building a house is a pretty big {and slightly stressful} project. Who knew? I will have more house updates shortly as {squeal!} we are nearing time for framing!!! Yay!
A few more things that have been keeping me occupied:
♥ So, I have had a toddler before {two, in fact}, but boy, oh boy, Kam keeps me on my toes. I do not remember Sierra or Makenna being quite so . . . busy. Miss Kameryn Faith can destroy a room faster than you can say "Holy Tornado!"
♥ We are finishing up our homeschool year. There is a lot to do. Evaluations and planning for next year have taken up a lot of time. I'll have a 3rd grader and a Kingergardener in the Fall. Wow!
♥ We have two weeks left of dance classes, and preparations for the recital have kept us hoppin' {and tappin', ha!}
♥ And finally, day to day odds and ends, {including a lot of illness this Spring} have continued to keep us busy. Kam is feeling much better {thank you so much for all of your sweet comments and emails of concern}. No more fever {hallelujah!}, but she continues to be kept up at night with a cough. We are so looking forward to some nice weather so that all of these germs can just dry up and GO AWAY! :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That pretty much sums it up. Have y'all felt a little overwhelmed with the busyness as Summer nears? {Tell me I'm not alone! Please?} I'm ready for a little R & R ;)
Framing! How exciting. I'm sure homeschooling and getting everything ready for the end of the year is stressful. Hang in there...not too much longer.
WEll I can see why you have been a bit absent. Totally allowed. I cannot wait to hear all about the house. How exciting. I think it is the third child that keeps everyone on their toes. LOL Stunt Man is the same way.
I gotta agree with He & Me +3...I think the 3rd keeps you on your toes. It seems like Benjamin is waaaay busier than Mary Catherine ever was...I can't even imagine life a year or so from now. My girlfriend shared with me that even her 3rd baby (3 boys) was so much active sooner...wanting to keep up with his 2 older brothers!
Building a house is so exciting. We've built two and I think we are here to stay...until Daddy retires from Fire.
Can't wait to see pics...and in Oregon! Jealous.
Blessings,
val
I'm excited to hear about the house too. Yes, the end of the Spring season leading to Summer is always so busy. We are a few days into our summer now and I am feeling much better about things!
no apologies needed lady! You take all the time off from blogging you need, well not too long, I'll start to miss your posts!! I'm glad that the house is moving along still. I hope you and your hubby are seeing eye to eye on the projects that lay ahead for the house :)
The end of the school year always feels kind of crazy! I can't imagine adding a house and sick kiddos to it!! :D Glad you guys are on the up and up!
That is so exciting that you are getting ready for the framing stage!
LOL about Kam being so busy. My nephew Andrew is fast and busy too!
How exciting about the house! Yay!
You have been busy! I hope things start to settle down a bit soon!
My son is the same with a room. Since his birthday last week, with all the new toys, our family room is always a disaster! We're trying the "playing with one thing at a time" thing...not so much.
So exciting! A new house! I love new houses.
I'm feeling the same way about my toddler. I swear, every time I turn around something else is broken. Oh, my patience. My poor, poor patience.
I told Keith last night that I'm glad we only had two kids because I can't keep up with the two that I have.
I clean one room and they come through behind me and destroy it!
