When Things Don't Go As Planned

It's been a looooong week. And it's only Wednesday. That doesn't seem too promising, does it?

I've been wrestling with a lot of emotion lately. We got word on our appraisal yesterday, and things aren't going exactly as planned. {Darn economy!}

What do you do when things don't go your way? The way you had planned. I am a total planner, and I have a hard time when things don't turn out the way I had envisioned. A very hard time.

It's pretty easy to say that you're leaving it in God's hands. Or that you're trusting His will, and following His path. But to actually follow through? I'm finding that a bit harder.

During Bible study one Sunday we were talking about conditional faith. Oh how this hit home for me {and can I just mention, again, that if you have not gone through Beth Moore's Esther study, go out and buy it NOW!}. We were reminded that it's not enough to have conditional faith in God. To trust that He won't let our biggest fears happen to us. We have to trust Him, period. Regardless. Even in fear.

And that's where I am right now. Being stretched a little in faith.

And trying to come up with a plan.

What can I say? I'm a planner.

I am sorry things are not going according to plan. I am a planner as well and it drives me nuts when things don't follow plans. You would think with three kids under 5 I would be used to that by now, but sadly no.
I hope you are able to figure out a new plan =)

Oh no. I hate to read that things didn't go as planned. I am a complete planner myself so I understand. Hang in there. HE knows your plan.

Liz, Thinking about you during this "just trust Him" time. I can totally relate to being able to "talk the talk", but to be able to "walk the walk" is always SO much harder!! I will be praying for you and hoping that things will turn around for you. I get the planning thing and not having it turn out as you had thoyught. Just remember whose plan is THE plan for you and your family...no matter how confusing it all is!! Hang in there!

That stinks that the appraisal didn't go well. I'm sorry! That can really mess up plans.

I am taking a Beth Moore bible study in a few weeks and I think it's about Ruth. I'll have to double check.

Hang in there. It all happens for a reason and God knows what He's doing. He will take care of it all.

I'm a planner too and I can't stand when things don't work out. I'm getting better but it's hard.

Good Luck!!

Oh I am a planner to a fault so I feel your pain my girl. When things don't go as planned I tend to throw myself a little pity party but that really doesn't do much good.

Hang in there!

Bless your heart! The economy is no fun right now, that is for sure. Hang in there- good things are just around the corner. I'm just sure of it. Hugs!

I am a planner too. It is often hard to trust when our plans aren't going as planned. LOL But HE is faithful. It will be ok.
