Project 52: Week 6 ~ Drink Up!

Well, I'm just going to tell you right now, that my photos for Project 52 keep getting worse :(
Be warned.

In my defense, though . . . well, actually, I don't have a defense.  We're just really busy here getting ready for vacay {yay!}, homeschooling, errands, and life's basics.

Side story:

We were visiting friends last week, and got into this very discussion {about things being crazy busy right now}, and I worked up the nerve to ask if it was just me or if  the 6-12 month stage is a little . . . exhausting for anyone else.  Now.  Do not get me wrong.  I LOVE this age.  I do.  But Tay is going through a bit of a trying time right now.  She's not real content.  I truly believe that she sees her big sissies running around, playing, having fun, and wants so badly to join them.  Add to that the fact that on the very rare instances that I can set her down for a few minutes, she's into EVERYTHING.  Miss Priss can army crawl like nobody's business.  And her index-thumb dexterity is seriously amazing.  She can spot little Barbie shoes and hair clips from a mile away, scoot her little booty over to them, and grab 'em up, pop 'em in her mouth, all in about 1.3 seconds.  You gotta watch this one like a hawk, I tell ya.  So by the end of the day . . . well, I'm completely worn out.

Wow.  Long side story.  All that to say ~ not a lot of time to pick up the camera for anything more than a snap these days ;)

Here we go . . .

Week 6 ~ Drink On Up, Y'all!

Yesterday we did a little grocery shopping, and thought we deserved a little treat.

Vanilla Beans from Starbucks . . .

I'm sorry you're so exhausted! Can you convince the older girls to sit down and read to Taylor for a little while so you can get some rest?

Even though you don't think so, I like the shot! I like the angle you took it from!!

Having big kid toys around with a baby does make it so much harder. When Henry and Grant were little we only had baby friendly toys, but when Eli was little I had to watch him a lot closer because there were some not so baby friendly toys in our house by then! That drink looks yummy:)

I do remember that time being so physically tiring because you have to constantly watch them. I'm sure she does want to get out there with her sisters. Hang in there mama! That drink looks yummy...I enjoy Starbucks.

Yes! That age is so tiring! Completely normal, I think, but I remember that age, too. : )

You know what I did with Abby? I got one of those huge play yards and set it up in the living room with toys and stuff. I'd put her in there, because it was safe. I'd sit with her and play and sometimes rest. Here's the one I had:

Actually I still have it and if you lived closer, I'd give it to you!!

I've never had Starbucks, because I don't like coffee. Is there coffee in that? It looks good!

Your little one is so cute and I like the perspective of the photo. Hope you get some rest soon - I can relate to those tired days where you'd just like even a few seconds of me time. Hang in there - and keep taking photos! xo

Mmmm...looks delicious and refreshing!

That IS an exhausting age! And how is it that they have those little eagle eyes that can see ANY tiny thing that happens to be hiding?

She needs a cage! I mean, one of those play pen things! :) Really.
Or you might find a barbie shoe in her diaper one day...

I think it's an exhausting stage. Until they can really start entertaining themselves you have to constantly be right.there.with.them.

Vanilla bean? Is it coffee? I hate coffee but that sounds delicious!

And I love the shot. Anything with Ms. Kam is perfect.

I think having a 6-12 month old with THREE OLDER SISTERS that you HOMESCHOOL is what is exhausting!! We're in the trenches for a while but it will get easier :)

P.S. When I try to check your blog at work (shhhh, don't tell my boss) I can only see the header photo. And then I have to wait until I'm at home to check, which as you know may never happen, so I'm catching up now!!

For me it is the 16 months- to almost three that are the most exhausting. And yes, does make it tricky when they want to keep up

Bless your heart. I agree after making it through a grocery shopping trip everyone should get a treat. Hope you had a great weekend.

Of course you're not alone. Oh they are in to EVERYTHING at that age, and they have no idea how dangerous it all is. I think everyday how easy I have it with an 11, 9 and 6 year old, such a breeze (most of the time).

Ok, honestly, could our littles be any more alike?!
Hailey is the exact same...such a busy little thing! Everything goes in her mouth, and she's so fast! HOnestly...I'm ashamed to say it...but I dont even trust Matt to watch her if I have to run a quick errand!
