Bloggography Week 4: Aperture

Manic Mother
This is my first week participating in Manic Mother and Better in Bulk's Bloggography Challenge, and I'm so excited! I love taking pictures, and even better when I can learn something new about my camera.
This week the lesson was on using Aperture. I guess I missed the part about shooting something pink or red. Ooops!
We've had some gorgeous sunny days lately, so the girls and I have put on our jackets and headed outdoors on an "adventure" ;) And this is what we found . . . dead grass. I know, I know, Super exciting ;) My husband saw me uploading pics and was like "What in the world are you taking pictures of grass for??" Oh, hunny.

Those came out great! That is another thing I didn't do, keep track of my aperture settings.

Thanks for stopping by today :)

Great pictures! LOL about the grass. My camera lens doesn't take below f/4.

Very creative eye! Husbands don't always get us. Hahaha

You made that dead grass look so pretty! My hubby has seen some of my pics and asked why I took them too! I have a question...what kind of lense did you use to take these shots? I am thinking of getting a new lense other than my zoom, but I'm not quite sure what to get!

I love your examples! Isn't it amazing what a difference changing the aperture makes?!

PS--I didn't take a picture of anything red or pink, either. ;)

Your comparisons are great. They really show the difference changing the aperture makes - just a totally different feel.

Very Cool!

Your photos demonstrate how the different settings make for an entirely different mood. I am chuckling about your husband giving you a hard time about the subject matter. Mine was the same way. Why are you taking so many pictures of markers???

I'm not huge into photography but I like to take nice pictures. I have an advanced point and shoot and the only thing that makes me sad about it is that the Aperture only goes down to 2.8. You gave great examples of how it is used and what the results are. Good job!

Wow, what beautiful shots.

My husband used to wonder about some of the pictures I would need to stop and take, but now he just expects it and I am sure he appreciates it! :)
