We went berry pickin' today. Blueberries . . . yum! Kenners ate all of the ones she picked, and Kam ate many of the ones I picked ;) And Sierra, she doesn't mess around! She picked almost as many as I did.
The afternoon was spent sorting through them ~ I guess the green ones looked good to the girls? And we now have gallons of delicious berries just waiting to be poured on cereal or eaten with vanilla ice cream, baked in muffins or made into a pie.
I love this time of year.
We've been keeping so busy with outings such as these, as well as preparing for Sierra's 8th birthday this weekend, that I haven't had much time to play around with my new camera. So sad, I know.
But, yesterday we walked over to Nana and Grandpa's, and snapped a few pictures there.
Here's one of my favorites:
My oldest daughter turns 8 tomorrow. So hard to believe that 8 years ago, at this very moment, I hadn't even met this sweet child. And now I am blessed to spend every day with her.

Happy birthday to Sierra! I miss berry-picking. I was just at the store and realized how sad I am that I now have to pay $2.50 (on sale!) for a little thing of blackberries.
:(
Love the shot! I can't believe they are wearing jackets already.
Blueberries...YUM! That is a great pic. Happy Birthday to Sierra!
Yum! I wish we had fresh berries because it sure would save me money LOL!
You are creating wonderful memories with your girls. Sweet photo!!!
I hope her birthday weekend is spectacular.
Isn't is amazing how fast they grow and how wonderful it is to watch. I hope she has a great birthday. Berry picking sounds like a lot of fun...I love berries. I can't wait for apple picking.
How fun! I love blueberries and I thought they all came from Canada.
Have a great weekend celebrating!
Love the picture.
That pic is great!! We love blueberries too. We only got a few from my mom's bushes this year, and by not they are all gone down here because of the heat!
I love your last sentence. :) I feel the same way.
Next year we're hoping to grow our own blueberries. We'll see how it goes. My girls gobble them up like candy. They're especially good frozen!
That is a great picture! We went blueberry picking three times this summer and I think my kids ate almost as many as I picked each time.
I am so jealous. I love fresh berries. i can't get enough of them!
