I ♥ Chalkboard Paint

Several months ago I picked up some chalkboard paint at Michaels, in hopes of repurposing an old cookie sheet into a fun chore chart, or Summer Fun checklist . . . something.  But when Jeremy heard of my plans to hang said chart in the kitchen, I was given the red light.  He likes clean, clutter-free walls, and already we don't have a lot of wall space in the kitchen due to our huge windows.

So. My chalkboard paint just sat in my craft closet.

Until the other day, when I finally found a use for it.

I had a few blank pieces of craft wood, just begging to be made into mini chalkboards for the girls' American Girl Dolls.

Jeremy was out of town, and I was so proud of myself for finding the drill, and the drill bits, and drilling those holes myself.  I'm not usually too handy with the tools ;)

We headed outside, because chalkboard paint + four littles = MESS!  Nana stopped by to see just what we were up to ;)  {Do you notice Miss Taylor helping?}

And our final product:  Mini chalkboards.

What kinds of fun projects have you made with Chalkboard Paint?

Ooooh cute idea!!! Looks easy enough, too! Minus the drilling - you go girl!

I like clutter free walls, too. i get flustered if there is too much going on in a room. :o)

I haven't used it at all but I am impressed that you used your husband's drill. I barely know how to use a screwdriver.

So cute! I am always proud of myself for using power tools too. That is totally Jason's job at our house, so when I figure it out it's a big deal:)

Cute!! I want to do a chore chart too but I'm not sure where to put it either. If you come up with a better idea, let me know. :) I have some cute chalkboard paint too...just sitting in my craft drawer. :)
