Last night us girly girls were invited to a very special birthday celebration, for a very special friend.
{It was a Hollywood theme, so the girls were even allowed a bit of makeup, and oh my, they were so excited.}
My dad stopped by to get a look at his granddaughters before we headed out, and was happy to snap a few pics for us.
When I uploaded them today, I burst out laughing . . .
This was the order in which they were taken:
Photo #1:
Sierra: Uh, Mom? Do you not notice Taylor screaming because you won't let her bail off the steps into the gravel?
Me {through clenched, smiling teeth}: Yes, Dear, I do notice, but I'd really like to get one quick shot.
Kam: La, la, la, la, la, I'm a princess and I'm wearing makeup.
Kenners: I'm just going to do as I'm told and hold this here pose until Gramps clicks the shutter.
Taylor: WAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!

Sierra: Seriously?
Kam: Mama? Tay is ruining my princess moment.
Kenners: Still smiling.
Me {through clenched, smiling teeth}: IG.NORE.IT, girls.
Tay: WAAAHHHHH!
Photo #3:
Sierra: Okay. Ifitgetsmetomypartyfaster. Cheese. Okay?
Kam: Lalalalalala, I love living in my own princess world.
Kenners: I'm kinda done ignoring it.
Me {through clenched, smiling teeth}: Last one, I promise!
Tay: This princess thing is so overrated.
These photos are so indicative of life right now.
New Mama would've waited until everything was just so.
Mama of four? Knows better.
Just keepin' it realer than real.

(at least I did) Your post reminds me of it!
i'm impressed you go that good in a few shots! you look great!
Too funny! The funniest thing is, you look so relaxed. LOL at Sierra's face. You are right, a new Mom (or even Mom of one, like myself) would have waited until it was perfect. Problem is, it's never perfect! LOL!
These are just great pics and you all look gorgeous! Now, I want a reason to dress up. Wait, I have no dress up clothes.
I love every single shot! Y'all look beautiful and keepin' it real makes everything that much better.
Too funny. This is my household all over.
HA! This was hilarious. I love the captions :) Tears and all...you girls look gorgeous!
Omygosh! That is so funny. And true! But you all look GREAT!
Kenners - bless her heart. She tried so hard! :o)
These are great!!!!
That is exactly how pictures with boys turn out too, if that helps? I did giggle a bit here though! They are adorable!
LOVE these! And you are awesome and looking amazing with the perfect smile through all of that.
this is too much! love it!! all so beautiful!
Oh my gosh.....Real life is REAL! And never perfect, but always a 'trip'! You all look great; even the unhappy one. :)
XO
Liz, these are hilarious! Totally what we go through with every single picture. The narration was a nice touch!
I'm not so good at hiding the hurried, "oh great this was a bad idea" feeling when smiling through the shenanigans.
Good job mama!
