I cannot fathom how thirteen years has passed so quickly.  

It seems like it was just yesterday you were swaddled in my arms after a long, 

hospital wait for your arrival.

And in the blink of an eye you are a TEENAGER.  I don't think my mama heart can take it.

Kameryn Faith,

You:

* Love to read. It is nothing for you to finish a book in one day.

* Still love fashion and accessories.  It's important to you to look your best, and I love that you take pride in your appearance.

* Are the resident babysitter wherever we go.  You are SO.GOOD.WITH.CHILDREN.  They are drawn to you.  You are responsible and loving, and don't mind chasing after them, no matter where we are.

* Are the sweetest friend. You are outgoing and warm, and a friend to everyone.

*Love to travel . . . mostly to places that are HOT and SUNNY!

Life

 Well. 
Life is zooming by right before my very eyes.
Anyone else feel lucky just to accomplish the basics every day?

We had the loveliest beach trip last week. 
It was so needed.
It's just nice to get away from life sometimes, you know?

And now we're gearing up for a week of doctor's appointments, shopping trips, and preparation for Miss Kenners big 8th birthday party.
Seriously? 
How does this happen?
I am in desperate need of a rewind button.
Life seemed so much less complicated 8 years ago . . . .


Ahhh well.

Out of Bed

Miss Kam may have had breakfast in bed the other day,
but yesterday,
we all made it to the table.

 

Thought we might be on the mend too . . .
Until last night.
Poor Miss Tay :(
Let's just say there was not a wink of sleep to be had.
So.  In to the doctor we went this morning.
Just me and the little girls. {And Gramps ~ a.k.a. Super Helper}
 

 

 

 And my suspicions were confirmed.
Miss Kam has an ear infection in her left ear, and Miss Tay . . .
A double ear infection that is especially nasty.
My poor little pumpkins!

10 days of antibiotics + lotsa liquids + constant snuggles +
a whole bunch of movie rentals {hopefully} = Girlies on the mend.

Alright.  Let's hear it.

{Almost} Wordless Wednesday ~ Breakfast in Bed

Kam's Silly Sayings

So.  A few years ago it was Kenners keeping me in stitches with the silly things she came up with.  Now it's Kam.  It's no secret that I LOVE the preschool age.  Two, three, four . . . ohhh how I wish I could keep my girls these ages forever.  Sweet.  Innocent.  So full of life.  And aboslutely HILARIOUS.

The other night we were cleaning up the kitchen after dinner:

Kam: Hey, I know what we can call Taylor . . . Violet!

Sierra: Noooo, Kam.  We can call her Taylor or Tay or Tater {that's Kam's nickname for her}.  We don't want her to grow up not knowing what her name is.

Kam:  {Big, long sigh followed by an eye roll}:  UGH, you drive me nuts.

Later that evening we drove up to Grandma and Grandpa's to water their flowers and garden {they're out of town}.  Taylor had fallen asleep on the way, but woke up when I turned off the car.  Kam  peers over the seat, gets right up next to her, and in her sweetest sing-song voice proclaims:

Well hello there, Stick in the Mud.

This Little Miss had her first dance class last week . . .

Wordy Wednesday ~ Finally Time For Flee-Floffs

What? You've never heard of Flee~Floffs?

Flee Floffs is Kam's special word for Flip Flops. Oh that girl has the cutest ways of saying things!

And while we're talking cute . . . I'm thinking she might have the cutest little tootsies too.

We had some sunshine yesterday, so we broke out the Flee-Floffs. {And I've been trying SO hard not to whine about the weather, but I just have to get this out of my system . . . according to the weatherman, it's been over 200 days since we've had more than one day in a row of 70 degree temps. And I think we've had a whopping two days, MAX, that we've even hit 70. That's seven months people . . . RIDICULOUS. Okay, now I feel better}.

Wordful Wednesday ~

We're back! Didn't even know I was gone, did ya? {Except for the fact that I haven't been able to visit my favorite blogs for the last several days!} We took a quick trip to Southern Oregon to visit some family and celebrate a wedding.

We had such fun watching the little ones play.

Kam's cousin, Sonoma, is 5 months older, and hasn't always been too impressed with Kam ;) But last weekend they were inseparable. Holding hands, playing, laughing, and dancing. It was so sweet to see them together. I wish they lived closer so that they could play together all the time.

Until they can move closer {fingers crossed}, we'll just have to cherish our visits.
