Crazy Busy

Whew!
I'm trying to catch my breath in between photo shoots,
and apple cider making,
and crafting for the Christmas Bazaar,
and actually attending the Bazaar,
and homeschool,
and Christmas shopping,
and consults for ortho,
and planning for Countdown to Christmas,
and
and
and

But I had to pop in and share a session from last weekend.
My poor photography blog gets even less attention than this blog,
so it's probably time to just consolidate, and post here.

Alrighty, less chatty . . .
Check out this GORGEOUS family
{who just happen to BE my family}

And with that, I am off to sew a Christmas gift,
put the littles to bed, and prepare to start another busy day!

Hi There

Oh.  Hi there.  Long time, no blog.

I'm going to be honest.  Lately, the thought of blogging hasn't appealed to me in the slightest.  Life is racing right by me at about a million miles an hour, and I don't seem to have time to wash my hair {ew, right?}, let alone find a spare minute to blog.  Truth be told?  If I did have a spare minute, I'd much rather spend it snuggling up my lovies anyway.

But. Then I think about how much I love to look back through old blog posts.   And guess what, I can't look back through blog posts if I don't actually post.  Bummer.  So, I guess I'll just have to find some time in the wee hours of the night to devote to this ol' blog here.

So . . . What have we been up to?

 Homeschooling, dance classes {we have them three days a week now, don'thca know}, and everyday basics seem to take up an obscene amount of time.  Either life is just plain getting crazier, or I'm becoming much much more disorganized and spacey in my old age.

Other activities that have been consuming our time . . .

We went on our annual girls trip with my MIL, and had a ball!

Three days at the beach was just what we needed.

We've also . . .

Recently sold my car
and bought a new {to us} one.

And I've been keeping busy with photography, which has been such a blessing.

Check out this gorgeous family from a session last week:

Oh my goodness, don't you just want to smooch on those cheeks???

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today was spent at the pumpkin patch. One bottle of apple cider, 6 donuts, and lots of coughs, sniffles, and congestion {from the hay?} later, and I think we need a day to rest and recuperate.
Oh!  And in a couple, short weeks we are headed to southern Oregon to visit my sister.  We can't wait!
What have you been up to?
Busy, Busy
Whew!  Life is busy.
This is such a busy time of year for us as we wrap up the school year, finish up dance lessons, prepare for the recital, and plan our Summer FUN!
Last Friday we made a little time to meet and photograph this precious little bundle:
I mean, is that cuteness overload, or what?  Need to see more of this little Princess?
Odds & Ends
Do you ever have those days that just fly by and you're not quite sure where they went?
That's pretty much been the last few months for me.
Jeremy came down with some sort of virus last week, so it was pretty much a constant battle of trying to keep the girls away from the germs, while still taking care of him ;)  I will comment no further, because literally every time I open my mouth about us managing to stay away from ilness, someone inevitably gets ahold of one.
Taylor is growing and growing and changing every single day.
 It's crazy.
I guess I had forgotten how much babies change at this age.
She pulls up to standing all the time.
She just stands there, holding on with one hand, and waving with the other, as if to rub it in that she has no intentions on staying "the baby" for very long.
And yes, she got her first taste of curly fries at Arby's on Friday.  She's fast, that one!
The girls teamed up with my mom and dad to plan a little anniversary celebration for Jeremy and me.
Poor Jerm was still burning up with fever, but we trekked next door for a quick cake and ice cream.  The girls had made a banner, and decorated with streamers and balloons.  It was so so sweet.
Yesterday, I made THESE for the second time in a week.  I spotted them on Pinterest, and knew they'd be a hit.  Yesterday I skipped the donut-sculpting, and just cut the biscuits into fourths and threw them in the oil to fry.
They were the perfect size for little hands :)
Unfortunately, they were inhaled shortly after I made them, and I never did get a picture of the finished product.  Next time.
And today we got out the craft foam for some Eastery-Crafty Goodness.
What have y'all been busy doing?
Busy, Busy
It's been a busy week.  Kind of strange when an entire week just passes you right by and you're not sure where it went.
We celebrated my nephew's 18th birthday.  Holy moly, how is it possible that he's 18??  Fun story:  I was actually in the room when my sister gave birth to her first baby.  I was 13 years old, and after watching my sister in hard labor for several hours, I'm quite sure I said something along the lines of, What a miracle!  However, I will never be having any biological children of my own.  Adoption for me, thanks!
Funny how things change ;)
Harvest5
My little sis, Annie, and her two kiddos came up to celebrate with us!  Kam and Mona are just 5 months apart.
Harvest3
Taylor actually let someone besides Mama hold her!  She was passed around and around, and didn't fuss much at all.  Major breakthrough!
Harvest4
And we even found time to carve pumpkins.
I may be kind of quiet for a bit.  Having a hard time with a few things right now, and really want {NEED} to just turn it all over to God, but am finding difficulty relinquishing my control.  Sigh.  Just really feeling He wants me to do this right now:
Be still and know that I am God . . .  Psalm 46:10
I'll definitely check in on Friday for the Shutterfly Cards Giveaway.  Go enter, if you haven't yet!
Going, going, going
Whew, it was a long weekend.
I don't even know where to start, so I'll just leave you with pictures :)
Friday we made the snowflakes.
I think they did great!
We hung them in the girls' room
Jeremy picked out a little tree for Sierra and Makenna to share in their room. They were SO excited to decorate it.
Sunday we went back over to Jeremy's parents' house to pick out another tree. This time it was for my mom and dad. It was COLD! Kam and I headed to the house while the rest of the gang tromped through the trees.
And last night we had chili and bread at my mom and dad's. Afterward the girls decorated the tree. They're getting pretty good at it! I love this shot of my dad and Sierra. Sierra and Makenna weren't satisfied with hanging ornaments at their level. They made Gramps lift them up for every.single.one. :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

We have friends coming over in two hours and I need to get the house cleaned, laundry done, and dishes washed. WHAT am I doing on the computer???

A Little of This, and a Whole Lotta That

It has been busy around here! I knew it would be, and I thought I was prepared . . .

Sierra started swimming lessons on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This is in addition to her dance class on Wednesdays {not to mention Makenna's dance class on Mondays}. I joined a Bible Study that my mother-in-law is hosting on Sundays. Last week we added Kameryn's 4 month check up, my brother-in-law's graduation, Sierra's dance performance, and a BBQ to the list. We've been having fun, but it's left little time for other things {cough, blogging, cough}. I love the hustle and bustle, but look forward to a few lazy summer days. Wishful thinking?
