Nature Walk

If you've been around here long, you know that my girls and I love a good nature walk. The weather has put a bit of a damper on our outdoor time, but the other day we found a few drizzle-free hours, and headed outside!

Naturewalk1

Does she look like she's in awe that we've finally made it outside?

Naturewalk2

Sierra doesn't go anywhere without her camera. Like mother, like daughter ;)

Naturewalk3

Kenners quickly headed off to explore the creek.

Naturewalk4

And then we found this little guy. Can you see him in there?

Naturewalk5

The girls wanted a closer look.

Naturewalk6

And then someone got a little cranky that we weren't moving anywhere. This girl likes to be on.the.go!

Naturewalk7

Whew, that's better!

Naturewalk8

Next stop ~ the pond.

Naturewalk9

And even a little evidence that Spring may just be trying to make an appearance after all!

Naturewalk10

Then we came to Grandpa's pond {our property adjoins my parent's property}

Naturewalk11

And we noticed these little sacks floating around . . .

Naturewalk12

It didn't take long for Mama Frog to let us know that we'd better stay AWAY from her babies.

Naturewalk13

She seriously swam back and forth between Sierra and Makenna, coming up to the edge of the water, and giving them the "stare down". It was hilarious! After a minute or two we decided to leave her alone. Poor thing was just trying to protect her little ones.

I can understand that.

What a great nature walk! You have the perfect property for it!

LOL at Kam's face. That's how Abby was/is.

What a fun nature walk! Eli gets antsy if we sit still too long while he's in the stroller too:)

There is nothing like getting 'out there' with nature to fuel your heart!!!!
Gorgeous photos...even when 'someone' was cranky.

I love nature walks! And while I was in Portland, we went to the Tilamook National forest - it was sooo beautiful!

It might be rainy a lot, but the pay-off is some beautiful green!
