Treats for New Year's {Or Any Time!}

I'm always looking for fun ideas for kids in the kitchen {because my littles ♥ LOVE ♥ to help out}.

Yesterday we were experimenting, and here is what we came up with:  Our take on cake pops.  Easy, fun, and a little bit messy.

NewYearsTreats6

Start with Vanilla Melts.  This is the first time I've used these, and I'm pretty much in love.  So easy to melt and to use.

NewYearsTreats

Toss in an Oreo Cakester.  These are pretty much heaven all by themselves.

NewYearsTreats2

Swirl it around, coat all sides.

NewYearsTreats3

Ours aren't perfect, because we're not perfect.  We like it better that way.

NewYearsTreats4

Then sprinkle or decorate as you wish.
This was just a trial run; I think we'll use popsicle sticks with the next batch.

NewYearsTreats5

This is seriously so much fun for the little ones.  We'll be taking some to our annual Family Bingo tournament at Nana and Gramps' on New Year's Eve.

Let me know if you try 'em!

Linking up with the FAB Jen from TT&J!

Merry Christmas, Liz!

Your treats look delightful and I think we are gonna try them tomorrow afternoon! I'll let you know how they turn out.

Thank you so much for your past couple of visits. Like you, we are still under the weather around here. This mama just can't seem to get better...maybe b/c I've been so busy caring for the other three. Bummer of a holiday season...but at least the meaning behind Christmas never takes a sick day!

The photos you captured this past week are priceless.

Enjoy the last couple days of this blessed holiday season!

We did this for Christmas this year, except we used regular Oreos and then crushed candy canes on top. YUM!!

Many blessings to you and your family in the New Year!
