Countdown to Christmas . . . Show us ♥ YOUR ♥ Week!

December is finally upon us. Can you believe it?!We've had a fun {albeit a little chaotic} first week, how about y'all?I'm going to try to organize my thoughts by day {though I'm feeling soooo unorganized lately}

Here we go!

{I've included links to the tutorials for our activities ~ excluding decorating the Christmas tree, of course.}

Tuesday, December 1st

Hershey's Kiss Advent Calendar

The girls had such fun making this. And it truly was a project that they could do {mostly} on their own. Makenna is still learning to tie a bow, but she lined up the kisses just so, and attached the yarn and numbers. Sierra didn't need any help at all, Miss Independent! :)

Decorating the Tree!

Each year is more fun and exciting. Jeremy brought the tree in for us, I strung the lights, and the girls decorated the entire tree themselves {with the exception of a few that I placed on the highest branches, of course}. Kam and I got to sit back and watch. And I think it turned out beautifully!

Thursday, December 3rd

Time got away from us a bit while we were working on the hair clips. I'm not great with the glue ;) But we had so much fun! Makenna made two clips {she got a little side-tracked}, and Sierra got 4 done {she made one to give to her cousin}. Even I managed to get a few made before Kam woke up!

Snowflake Decorations

Today we will be making our snowflake decorations. I cut out "snowflakes" from white craft foam. I have rhinestones and sequins the girls can use to decorate, and then we will hang them from the ceiling in their room. I'll let you know how it turns out! :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How about you? What have you been up to? I can't wait to get more ideas for fun holiday projects. Share in the fun, and link up, whydon'tcha?!
What cute clips! I should have my 9 yo do those for gifts. Great idea!
I've been sewing, not so much this week, but my 9 yo has a school program next Thursday and I need to have her Christmas dress done by that time. Then a ton of scarves for relative gifts to make and anything else if I feel creative enough... Not so much this week...
Wow, your week sounds like a ton of fun. I love those hair clips, the candy cane one is my favorite. This week we put up our tree, watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas and tonight we are making cookies.
The hair clips are so cute! I didn't put an activity in everyday of our advent calendar because I knew we wouldn't be able to manage something everyday with school and homework and all the other busy holiday stuff! We did watch a Christmas cartoon this week and decorate the tree and bake cookies should be coming up soon in our calendar:)
I love your fancy little note cards with the activity written on them. Mine are drawn on regular ol' paper and some of the numbers are X'd out with a new date on them because of conflicts. Hahaha.
I love this! Honestly, reading your blog and seeing all the fun things that you do with your girls makes me want to pull mine out of school just so I can have them around more often!
Those hair clips are so cute! How did I not know you were doing this? I have been a bad blogging friend lately. Life has been so hectic. But I think it is starting to slow down. What a fun linky party. I will take some pics this week and link up!
It looks like you are really getting into the season - that is so great!
XOXO
