So, these little creatures are cracking me up these days.
We have a hummingbird feeder on our back porch, and it is seemingly frequented every second of the day. HOWEVER, these guys apparently missed the "sharing is caring" memo. One will perch on that little hook on look-out. And if another comes flying in to innocently take a drink, the look-out guy will swoop in to scare the unsuspecting one away.

The other day Jeremy called me out to his shop, and pointed to the corner where a little hummingbird was just hanging out on the floor. After a minute it became obvious the little guy wasn't going anywhere, so Jerm picked him up.
Still not flying.
Jeremy, being the hummingbird whisperer he is, decided to take him to get a little drink.
I guess these guys need constant hydration, because a few minute of magic red drink tlc, and he was on his way!

Oh my goodness, that is awesome! We used to have a Rose of Sharon tree in the front that got a lot of hummingbirds. It didn't make it through the ice and snow this past winter and had to be taken out. I'll sure miss the hummingbirds!
