Countdown to Christmas 2018 ~ Week 2

We've been so busy, I haven't been doing a great job photographing our
Christmas Countdown fun :(

Day 5 ~ We went to the theater to watch "Ralph Breaks The Internet"
{I voted to see "The Grinch", but was outvoted by the girls.}

Day 6 ~ Our annual Community Tree Lighting ~
Sierra was a helper elf to Santa again this year,
and the rest of us girls helped move the Santa line along.

Day 7 ~ Our new kitty, Miss Luna, had another vet visit,
so we took advantage of running into town, and picked up donuts.

Day 8 ~ Shopping with Friends

Day 9 ~ Church & Gingerbread House Decorating:

How have you been staying busy?

Countdown to Christmas has BEGUN!

We kicked off our Countdown with a Girls Trip with Grandma!
We had such fun Christmas shopping, going out to dinner, and a little relaxation.

There's also been lots o' crafting taking place at the Fraijo house:

Cousin Kuaile came out to help with that!

 Sierra had a table that she shared with a friend, and Makenna and I shared one as well.

Even Kam and Tay managed an entire day spent down at the church!

We had such fun visiting with friends ♥

And last night, after a full day of church, and celebrations, we headed over to my parent's house

for pizza and to decorate their tree.

Christmas Bazaar

It's that time of year . . .
Christmas Bazaar time!!

Oh how I love this season!!!

From the first of November until the 1st of January,
I just love the sights and activities of the season!

Our church held their second annual bazaar last weekend,
and the girls and I excitedly set up our table, and kept watch for two days!

It always amazes me how much stuff it seems like we have made up,
when we're busily crafting at home, vs. what it looks like when we get down to the bazaar
and set it all up on the gigantic table, lol!

The first day was terribly slow, but it gave us an opportunity to visit, craft, relax.
All of which we never get to do, so it was nice!

And come Saturday, things picked up, and Sierra and Makenna made friends
with other girls who were sentenced to manning their own table ;)

 At the end of the weekend, we had made friends, a little extra Christmas spending money, and
had a wonderful time!

Countdown to Christmas 2011

SugarplumCreations

Oh my goodness, people.  How can it be December 1st already??  How?
December totally snuck up on me this year.  And I'm not all that prepared.

But I'll get there.

The past two years I've blogged about our Countdown to Christmas.
We plan a special outing, activity, or craft for each day in December.  I make little notes that I've numbered 1-24, and each day I stick one, outlining our activity for the day, in a corresponding pocket of our "Advent Tree". The girls LOVE it.  And I love it too.  We like to celebrate the whole month!

CountdowntoChristmasW

Today, we will be making our Hershey's Countdown.  Want to make your own?  Check out how here :)
Enjoy this special time.  Another year will be upon us before we know it!

{Interested in sharing your favorite holiday crafts, activities, or recipes??  Come back next Thursday, the 8th, and we'll link up!  I can't wait to see what y'all are up to!}

Countdown to Christmas 2010 ~ Week 3

Countdown to Christmas

Welcome to Week 3 of Countdown to Christmas! Not quite sure how a whole week passed before my very eyes, but ohhhkay.

Here's a brief recap of our week:

Last Thursday we made hair clips for gifting. That was the idea, anyway. Kenners was pretty happy with the one she made, and she decided she wanted to keep it for herself. The one below Sierra made for her cousin.

Friday we made snowflake decorations.

Saturday we were supposed to attend a Follow the Star event, but the weather was HORRIBLE. Flooding, cold, and pouring down rain, we decided we didn't want to hang out in it for any length of time, no matter how cool the live nativity was. Sooooo, instead we invited Nana and Grandma over to bake cookies. We made a LOT of them! Oatmeal, Gingersnap, Jam Thumbprint, and Sugar . . . just to name a few.

Sunday we helped Grandma and Grandpa decorate their tree, and afterward Jeremy took Sierra and Makenna to see The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. The following photos crack me up. Jeremy was Sierra's "lifter" and Grandpa was Makenna's.

A little friendly competition ensued.

Look how high I can hang my ornament!

Woohoo! Mine's the highest!

Oh yeah? Top this!

Alright, how about tree topper?!

All the while Daddy and Grandpa were commanded to "lift higher!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Monday we visited Geri {Grandma} at work for donuts and hot cocoa
And a few photos by the tree
Tuesday we met up again with Grandma and Nana, and we went to see Tangled.
But not before a bite to eat . . .
Mostly just slurpin' on Flurries
And Yesterday was the start of our Danish Christmas {the girls find a small gift in their stocking each day from December 15th through the 24th}. They each found beads in which to use during our activity: making Christmas bracelets.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There you have it! We had quite a busy week. Now if I can just get through the rest of this week, I might be able to breathe a sigh of relief.
So . . . . what have you all been up to? Any crafts, recipes, or activities you'd like to share? Link up below. And don't forget to visit others! It's more fun that way ;)

Countdown to Christmas ~ 2010, ♥ Week 2 ♥

Countdown to Christmas

Welcome to Week ♥ 2 ♥ of Countdown to Christmas! Am I the only one who has a hard time believing that we're in our second week of December already? The clock is ticking, isn't it?

We had a great week. It was kind of quiet and relaxed, but that's good sometimes.

So, recap:

Last Friday we went Christmas shopping and out to lunch. We ate at one of the girls' favorite restaurants {no, not McDonalds, thankyouverymuch!}, Lil' Cooperstown. And we finished up almost all of our Christmas shopping. Just a couple more things to pick up.

Saturday we got our tree! We were so happy to have it picked out and put up! We even got a shot of the whole family. That doesn't happen very often ;)

Sunday we had planned to craft, but at the last minute our plans changed and the girls decided to go up to Jeremy's parents' house to help them sell trees. They had such fun as the official tree picker outers ;) We also spent some time in Luke 2. I think the more I read it, the more in awe I am.

Monday we made wreath decorations. I had little foam wreaths left over from last year, and the girls decorated them with rhinestones and sequins.

Tuesday was spent reading some of our favorite Christmas stories. The girls love the Little House books. Makenna received "A Little House Christmas" a couple of years ago. It is a fabulous book filled with special Christmas stories. We read the first one on Tuesday.

And Tuesday evening we were invited to my parents' house to decorate their tree. I don't think the girls could ever get tired of decorating.

And today we made our Rudolph Candy Canes. So much fun!

~ ♥ ~~~ ♥ ~~~♥ ~~~ ♥ ~
