Extreme Makeover: Me Edition

Another Wednesday is upon us, and you know what that means . . .

Extreme Makeover: Me Edition!

Amber hosts this lovely gathering. So, head on over and join in!

Thank goodness we're focusing on the positive this week, because if I have to yell at myself one more time for not exercising, I may just give up altogether!

This week's question:

What are your successes this week?Instead of focusing on the things I did not do right this week, I want to focus on the positive. So here's to accentuating the positive:

I am drinking more water again.

I found myself drinking a little too much diet coke, juice, and lemonade the last few weeks during birthday celebrations, and family gatherings. Not only did I feel badly for doing it, but physically it was making me sick, triggering headaches, AND I think my skin was/is even suffering from it. Anyway, enough was enough. I am now drinking ONLY water. No lemonade, no juice in the morning {or anytime, for that matter}, NO SODA. Zip. Just water.

I'm not eating just to eat. If I'm not hungry, I'm not putting food in my mouth.

I've naturally been getting more exercise lately because we've been on the go.

All day shopping trips and trips to the amusement park, lend themselves to getting the bum movin'!

There's always room for improvement, but I'm slowly implementing new changes that are definitely for the better.

How about y'all?

I hear ya on the water thing! I recently stopped buying Diet Coke - makes me sad cause I love it, but I need to be drinking water.

And yay for more exercise! We too are on the go and I'm more active, which makes me not want to eat out of boredom.

Hanging head in shame because I am not doing much this week to do a makeover. Hopefully, next week when the kids head back to school I can get in a routine too.

Good job, Liz!

I need to give up my diet soda...but I could never give up my morning coffee!

Our new dog requires being walked twice a day. 2 MILES each time! I don't think I would have signed those adoption papers quite so quickly had I known.

Great job! I was able to give up soda for awhile, but then I just had to have a Dr. Pepper! I don't have soda at home, so I just drink water. If we are in a restaurant, I get water, but at fast food places I need a soda!

Good job Liz! I am trying to drink more water - it is hard. I forget about it. I need to get one of those big water bottles and carry it around with me.

Good luck this week!

XOXO

I am with you on the water. I have been drinking 96 oz. of water for a year now. The only thing I add to that is my 2 cups of black coffee in the morning. It is a HUGE benefit to drink exclusively water.

You are doing excellent! I noticed last week that I wasn't drinking any water (except for the one glass I always with lunch) and instead was consuming massive amounts of pop and juice...so gross!
