We're back from our trip to American Girl!
So. Our trip started out a little something like this:
I'm not going to lie. It was a long drive for the little ones {and maybe even some of the big ones}.
There was many a bathroom stop.
Which led to issues getting back on the freeway.
Which led to going through Seattle during rush hour.
Which led to . . . a much longer drive than it really needed to be.
But that's okay, because the excitement. Oh the excitement . . . it completely took over.
And us big people got to enjoy the lovely scenery. {Don't worry. I wasn't driving ;) My mom actually did all of the driving, which was heavenly as it freed me up to tend to the littlest passengers. Have I ever mentioned that I really detest driving? Fact #1187 about me that y'all may not have known}
The mall was super easy to find. It was just a few blocks down the road from our hotel. The actual American Girl store? Not so easy for us out-of-towners. We must have driven around a good half an hour looking for the darn thing. But once we parked, and searched on foot . . . well, that didn't take long at all. I'm telling you, my girls can sniff out an AG store like nobody's business.
And then, as you can imagine, a lot of this was going on.
And some pretty intent browsing.
Kam was all about the shaved ice stand.
Sierra and Makenna had decided that the first day would be just for looking. Then they would spend the rest of the evening making notes as to which items they just HAD to have. In the end, they gave in a little and purchased a couple of things that night.
And then it was off to get a little ice cream and head to bed.

Come back for Part 2 of our trip!

I don't enjoy driving either and I'm so grateful that Rondell drives most of our way to Florida! Looks like such a fun trip so far. I'm sure the girls were in their happy place within the AG store.
I hate driving.
We can always take my car, but someone else drives. :)
This makes me want to go back to Seattle!
I need to find something the boys would love...maybe a Mariner's game!
What a fun trip! I can't wait to see what all the girls bought:)
I love their idea of taking notes! What a magical store for little girls to step into. I imagine it is much like little boys stepping into a lego store.
I had to change the URL to my blog. It is now www.myfoursons.com instead of .net. Long story. I'll share soon on my blog.
They are smart shoppers!!
Oh, this is so sweet. (well, not the long drive) I can almost hear their squeals looking at the photos....they were in AG heaven. You are such a great mama.
ps. I always wanted to go to Seattle!!!
*sigh* Make that myfourboys.com
yep, i hate driving too, especially on freeways. that looks like such a fun trip! just not sure the american girl store would leave any cash for groceries...for 5 years:D
Oh my goodness, those pics are so cute!
I always like driving, but we just got back from Branson and I'm so glad Dave did the driving. It was nice.
I can't wait to see what the kids picked out. I love that they have their baby carriers on.
I love that they all have their "babies" :) Precious!
Okay, this American Girl trip is ADORABLE!! How cute to get the dolls hairdos and have dinner! :D How nice to have a bunch of little girlie girls. :)
I LOVE the pictures of all you girls. It's definitley frame worthy.
